Export to Japan: Flexible C/O for Maximum Interest

More than a year after the enforcement of ASEAN-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership (AJCEP), the application of Certificate of Origin Form A (preferential C/O) has proved business efficiency in export activities. However, to get maximum interest of tax reduction, exporters must apply suitable forms of C/O in the Japanese market. According to statistics of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in 2009, 37,018 sets of C/O Form AJ were granted with total export value of US$1.7 billion, accounting for 27.81 percent the total export value to Japan

PM calls for inflation to be curbed

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung yesterday, March 4, urged ministries and localities to closely watch prices, especially of essential goods, to prevent the recurrence of high inflation and to speed up economic recovery at the second monthly Government meeting of this year. Keeping inflation at 7 per cent this year will be a tough job but within the capability of the Government, concluded the two-day meeting. The optimistic conclusion was drawn from the economic performance of the first two months of 2010, said the head of the Government Office, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and the head of the Central Finance Administrative Committee, Le Duc Thuy, at a press conference held after meeting.
